Is a special inspector the same as the Glendale city building inspector?
No. Glendale Building & Safety performs municipal construction inspections. A qualified special inspector—sometimes called a deputy inspector—performs additional inspections required by the approved plans, Statement of Special Inspections or permit conditions. ASI does not replace required City inspections.
